AP - LAS VEGAS - Two thrill-seekers got a little more fright last night than they bargained for when the Stratosphere hotel-casino's newest ride malfunctioned.

The girls -- ages 19 and 11 -- spent more than an hour dangling on the "Insanity" ride about nine hundred feet above the Las Vegas Strip.

The ride swings out over the edge of the tower platform and spins riders at the end of finger-like mechanical arms.

Initial reports are that it stopped mid-ride due to gusty winds.

Technicians were eventually able to pull the main brace back to the tower platform after one o-clock.

Neither girl was hurt.

I think you are a conflicted young man, you profess to have all this love in your heart for helping people and missionary work etc.. I might get blasted for this comment, I just wonder how you can have such a negative outlook on most things and yet be the humanitarian you claim to be..

No, it's not "his" visual interpretation. It's probably an actual engineering computer mock-up. In this day and age, engineers are able to "build" parts inside computers that can be put together and looked at as a whole product. I know, it's what I do daily. :nerd:

Now, go back to sleep!

Let's not let this get too far everyone. Let's just let the matter drop. Besides we have more important topics such as how we are looking forward to seeing Dawn at Socorro on TCM on May 7 at 8:30 P.M. and why you are enjoying the State Farm Lone Star Cup updates and why you are glad I keep you posted on Dawn at Socorro and other great movies and why you should love me and ....................

me and my wife try different places. our bread and butter is the tower suite at Treasure Island. We've stayed there several times, but not since they did their more recent "hipper" transformation. weve also stayed at Bellagio (laveview room. awesome), Mandalay Bay, Caesars Palace (a jacuzzi room in the old Roman Tower), we also stayed in a celebrity suite at Hard Rock on our honeymoon (along with the TI suite). we have stayed downtown at the Golden Nugget back when Steve Wynn owned it.
before i was married in dec 2000, i stayed at the golden nugget, Stardust a few times, circus circus a few and even the El Rancho Vegas and Hacienda before they were torn down.

i heard The Fitz has really fixed up their place. we like to go to their balcony by the bar to see the light show. its a nice view from there.
