Burrell said Kilgore's recruiting him to play wide receiver and to return punts. He said he's attending a junior college first to "start off slow and get the experience" before moving on to a four-year university

Later in the article Burnell said Kilgore was going to let him play basketball also.

Sounds like a low SAT or TAAS or TEKS or whatever it is called now. I wish him well.

Also in the article it mentions DE Justin Rodgers signing with SMU.

It is possible Burrell will be catching passes from QB Jim Alford. Alford guided Longview Spring Hill to the 3A Regional Semi's during the 2000 playoffs, where they were defeated by Burrell and the Commerce Tigers.

Alford was a backup QB for Kilgore College during the 2001 season and will compete for the starting job this spring.

Hey fatcat. Where did the kicker go that ya`ll had in 2000? Man that kid could kick the ball. What was it, something like a 57 yd fg or some-such into the wind? He had to go D1.

He's a lifetime Aggie, chose to go to school at A&M instead of taking some of the other playing opportunities. Got a shot when their kicker had to quit last fall. Did well in tryouts but they chose another walk-on kicker as their backup. They recruite a kicker out of Plano for next season, don't know if Brelsford will get another shot to try out or not.
