I put the title in the thread so that those uninterested won't have to read and I am not a fan of men's soccer but these young men deserve recognition to those interested. Our under 17 young men's national team beat Costa Rica 2 to 1 toadvance to a berth at the Under 17 World Championship. This keeps a streak alive as the USA is only country that has qualified for every championship at the age group. Nik Beesagno the No. 1 pick of the 2005 MLS Super Draft and 6ft5in Omar Gonzalez, a late addition to the team out of the Dallas Texans young club both scored goals to give the Americans a 2 to 0 lead and then the team had to withstand a furious rally especially the final ten minutes. A lucky bounce off the post and a magnificient save by Bryant Rueckner allowed the USA to escapte with a victory. Way to go Men! Good luck!!
