Class 3A Coverboy??

Last year it was a no brainer...who will it be this year in DCTF? I think the QB from Bridgeport Phillip Daugherty will be it..any thoughts?

Pittman will have a great season, if he stays out of trouble!! I think he is a good choice.

Don't think Pittman will be it....doesn't have the numbers some of the other QB candidates have...Daugherty came within 50 yards of breaking the single season state record for passing last year...other QB candidates are Alaniz, Hicks, and Benton...

Alaniz of Sinton just because he's been starting since he was a freshman.And he's played in a state championship game.Not too shabby a pitcher either.

Sweetwater's Michal Carrillo will throw over a 1,000 and he will run for over 2,000. He might not be your typical QB, but in High School football he is very dangerous.He is a game breaker and also like Daugherty, he is a 3-year starter. I saw the Bridgeport vs. Sweetwater game when both were Sophomores and also the Crane vs Bridgeport game of last year and I was not that impressed with Daugherty. He was not very mobile and he was knocked down easily.My coverboy would be Carrillo.

my vote is for jorie adams. i think that's his name. offensive tackle from jasper. if there is a more dominant player in 3a football, someone please tell me who it is....

I agree...I don't think anyone will be as dominanty as he will be this year...all the top schools are goin after him...Offensive lineman are sometimes coverboys...but it always more attractive to put a QB on there..but I wouldn't be opposed to seein Adams as the coverboy
