You do not know how excited I am about this...

Our senior season, we injured Alaniz in bi-district, some shoulder or coller-bone injurie, and he was unable to play the rest of the '00 playoffs...

I felt he could have atLEAST led Sinton to the state game, maybe even a championship...

I feel pretty good when I read his current acomplishments...

i hope he's as accessible when he is in the pros as Michael Adams is. Michael is always signing things for anyone who asks. theyre both great kids though.

They had a great team that year. That next game (I think it was Bandera) was the one Sinton lost. Adrian's older brother had to fill in at QB and just couldn't get the offense going. Bandera's front seven (well, eight) held the rushing game all night long and Emi probably hadn't taken a snap in five years. Still, Sinton was in the game till the very end. I'll bet that D303APP was in that game.

Nah, I believe Bandera was the 3rd round game, lost 14-zip at Alamo Stadium, then Bandera lost to Gatesville, Gatesville beat A-Wylie for championship...

Yah, cuz we were district 29 that year, they were 30, so they played 31/32 winner... I believe Bandera was in district 26 or 27 that year... I know district 25 was La Grange and stuff...

That's right. I think they played Raymondville before Bandera (I may be wrong... if somebody knows feel free to correct me). My bad.

It's crazy that they were twice as good in 2001.

BiDistrict - Cuero
Area: Raymondville @ PSJA Stadium
Reg Final: Bandera @ Alamo Stadium

i remember the play that adrain got hurt on like it was yesterday. i still see it in my head from time to time. He bootlegged around to the left hand side... headed right to the sideline and instead of running out of bounds... he tucks his right shoulder into the guy who was going to tackle him. Then, he continues on in tears in the huddle running the offense. We take a time out and bring in Emi (more on that later). He runs the offense and then takes over for the next two weeks.

Emi wasn't the back up QB that year, which is funny. We were a throwing/straight run offense then. We had a QB who was a more option-oriented QB who could have backed him up. I always found it interesting and still wonder why we didnt bring in #2.

Mark my words, it isn't going to take very long for UT fans to decide who their "Ace" is.

YAh, I've watched it on the highlight film a few times...

He goes to head outta bounds but hesitates...

Our LB doesn't want to take a chance on Alaniz faking him out so he just laid into him...

He was too good to let run free....

yeah i remember that... LB plastered right into his shoulder... helmet first... i always thought it was the DE... but as i see it over and over... the DE wasnt in the play. . .

Yah, the whole defensive line plus atleast one LB a play were too busy fighting off y'alls O-Line, that was one hell of a battle in the trenches that night...
