I was an interesting turn of events--Cody Sparks took time off of his busy baseball schedule to win the 110 m hurdles(15.14 easy win) and 300 m hurdles(40.10 east win); that coupled with sprint team members from Hardin-Jefferson and Anahuac with big wins gave the BC Cardinals the edge in winning the crown.
100 m winner Marvin Williams of H-J(11.20) beat WO-S's favored Kenneth Beasley(11.33) for the sprint crown. Leo Briggs H-J was third (11.40)
200m Kirby Shandy, Anahuac (22.84) beat favored Earl Thomas WO-S (22.93) and Austin Scurrock H-J spun a (23.19).
Of course in the 800 m, 1600 m, 3200 m BC won all three spots each race. Sam Elmore's won the discus and BCs surprise second place, (to Anahuac) in the 1600 m relay sent them over the top.
