Washington beat Arizona 5-3 in the first MLB game in Washington in 34 years.

I don't know if there were 45,596 at Expos home games ALL of last season!

You probably could add all the fans that went to the Expos game and it might equal 45,000.

ok hold right there bucko.. I just got back from this game.. needless to say my throat is killing me right now  thanks to screaming like crazy.. this team is nothing like the team from two countries last year. Yes, last year they went 67-95. There is three good reasons for that.
1. injuries out the ###
2. playing 103 games on the road
3. no fan support whatsoever.

it took me two hours just to get from the stadium to where I am staying in DC the next few days. unfortunately there was one way out of the stadium and about 30,000 of them were riding the metrorail including me.

if you wonder where i sat... i was in the upper deck directly behind home plate. the seats were absolutely fabulous. there really isnt a bad seat there unless you have to walk all the way to the top.

This team is a lot more dangerous this year than they were last year. They added some quality fielders and have a promising bullpen. The only reason the dang Diamondbacks scored the three runs is because Livan Hernandez ran out of gas. The guy doesnt believe in bullpens. He was only two outs from getting a complete game shutout as well.

if you dont believe i was there.. here is the proof. the game program and the ticket:

I was kind of surprised last night when I saw the score. Sounds like it was a great game!
