3A Players in the Oil Bowl

The Oil Bowl is an annual all-star game pitting Texas vs Oklahoma..it will be played June 21 at Memorial Stadium in Wichita Falls....

Last year this game had 3 players from Gainesville and 3 Coaches

This game is a good one to watch usually. I have attended several and the boys from Oklahoma always have good talent. Jenks HS, Moore HS, and the Lawton schools always place a few players on the Oklahoma team.
Most of the kids from Texas come from 4A and 5A schools, but you do find a few 3A and below playing in the game. I think they hurt this game a few years ago and tried to get in more local Wichita Falls area kids to boost attendance. They did away with that and now have kids coming in from all around the state, like in past years.
