I was wondering how the search for the new AD/HC was going, and who the frontrunners might be.

I know they haven't decided yet and I know that one of the applicants is an insider. Jury still out.

I heard that they had 100+ applications.

Don't know about that, but my wife was recently a "very high" administrator there and she says they're still taking applications. Not sure whether they have had that many qualified people to apply, but it's certainly possible. Columbus is a great sports town and though they've been down in football for a couple of years, sooner or later there will be another generation of Schobels. It's a good bet that all the boys (3 in the pros) will be back in C-Town to raise their families as soon as the NFL is done with them. Who wouldn't want a piece of that action? I think the insider has a good chance of getting the position. He's young, but a really good guy. Position may not be filled for another several weeks, though.
