BC had to play hard to beat H-J tonight. H-J held them scoreless for a number of inning. The score ended BC 5 H-J 0. H-J's star shortstop Freshman Hannah Godina made a number of spectacular plays. With their other star Freshman Kassie Richards and a young team they look like a good program for the future.
Elena Clinton pitched a good game for BC. Tomorrow they again test 4A Lumberton in a non-District contest at Lumberton at 1 pm.

Hey OC! Looks like the Lady Cards are rockin' again. Bellville girls have stumbled the last 2 games with losses to Columbus and Sealy, but hopefully they'll bounce back and maybe meet BC in the playoffs again somewhere. Is Godwin still the pitching ace and big stick for BC? She is some kind of special player.

Hi Brahma 73--I remember you! Good to hear from you again!
Yes, BC has a young aggressive team with two Seniors--Meagan Godwin and Kaliegh Wallace. The rest are from assorted younger select teams. Meagan(Beaumont Blast 18 & U) still pitches but is slated to attend Louisiana Lafayette and play mostly centerfield--still has a bat and a arm like a cannon! We have two other Potential Pitcher All-Staters coming up-- Junior Elena Clinton(Triangle Thunder 16 & U) and Shandi Conner a Freshman pitcher for the Beaumont Blast 14 & U. Conner and Godwin have played for the very successful national level Beaumont Blast programs.
This is hard to believe but our town also has had its own bonafied Select team, "Bridge City Thunder 14 & U". They did quite well agaist the hand-picked Greater Houston area premiums. From this team, Samantha Myers is a Sophmore and Freshmen Lorane and Jenna Angelle also start for the HS school team. Remember Jessica LeMoine the Catcher, last year, with the good arm? Well she is scholarshiped to LA-Lafayette, but we have a Sophomore Christiana Jacques that is a premium Catcher off another local successful select team. Our JV swepted the District 8-0 and have a good group of replacements. They maybe could have won the District themselves LOL.

As you well know, the goal down here is to get as many local HS school students placed with assorted college scholarships; be it academic and/or athletic.

It's real interesting in that we will face either select team loaded Splendora or Barbers Hill in the first round and that game's winner will be the favorite of the TX bracket progression.

Brahma 73, for Bellville getting beat by Sealy is nothing to be ashamed of-- Casey Anderson(who use to Coach at BC) is a smart competitor and if he has anything close to equal personnel he is apt to beat you.

Let's keep each other informed on here as the last of the SB season progresses.

To Brahma 73: Can you give us a little rundown on the teams that might make the playoffs from your District. Who are the projected to play in the postseason bracketing?
