A poem for Friday

I Don't Wanna

I don't wanna do the dishes
I don't wanna do the wash
I sprinkled clothes a week ago
And now my iron is lost!!

I don't wanna rattle pots
I don't wanna rattle pans
I see the mail light flashin'
I wanna chat with friends!!

Oh the tables need some dustin'
and the floor could sure be mopped
But I know if I get started
there'll be no place to stop.

The closets are so full
things are falling off the shelves
I wish for cleaning fairies
and magic little elves.

They could sprinkle fairy dust
and twitch their little nose
The windows would be sparkling
I would have no dirty clothes.

Oh I know that I'm just dreamin'
My head is in the sky
I must cook that meat that's greying
and bake that apple pie.

The Hubby needs a bath
Doggy needs attention
Oh.. the other way around I mean
my brain is in suspension.

I am runnin' round in circles
I am gettin' nothin' done,
I keep thinking of my web
I am missing all the fun!!!

Well I know I'm not addicted
though I hear that all the time
But I guess this stuff can wait on me
Cause Today I'll Be On Line!!!

Well I can sit here and play for awhile. I got to the office, ate my breakfast and painted my fingernails....so I have to sit here until they dry!

lol i had to 'go to class' but luckily i get to sleep until around one, then an hour of class and back to sleep until it's time to go home...this is the life! :D

She has an awesome office too!

I used to be off on Fridays, I loved it!

Now I work 8:30-3:00 M-F!

Well, I'm not off, but will be working in my pj's for another hour. I knew Fridays would be a bad day to go to the office.

oh yes...all this knowledge will help when i leave home to go to camp and college!

My son is a junior and I am already dreading the day...so I can sympathize (empathize) with your mom. As for us on the d'low, surely you will have computer access and be checking in when you can, right?

What kind of camp are you going to?

i have one day off a week, i'm not too sure about internet access :( I'll have to check on that.

I'm working out at Lake Travis at Highland Lakes Youth Camp with the various church camps that are going to be there. I've been given a place on their Summer Missions Team in the Health Tech Center and can't wait! I leave before school even ends! :D

yup yup! Thanks AP! What is the most refreshing part of the whole camp is going down to the lakefront at sunrise and seeing the sun come up behind the cross...

another part is seeing the campers and being able to be goofy and yet lead them in an awesome time!
