Honeybee_04: Can you tell me some details on Caldwell's softball team? Is anyone else playing year round Select team ball, besides Brandi C?

No one else plays year round softball and I'm not quite sure but I think that Brandi is not on a select team. :p

Brandi was on a 16 & U team out of Austin, and was doing quite well, as I understand it...I am really surprised that others are not participating also.

Brandi was on a 16 & U team out of Bryan/College Station and I think they only have 1 tournament scheduled for this fall. She is also trying to get her coach to make the team 18 & U but it hasn't been going well. She more than likely will stay with that team but would really prefer it to be 18 and U

Honeybee, you might want to wait a few weeks till you start bragging. Since you didn't score a td against Hempstead you might need to be a little concerned.

I'm not bragging, I'm just confident in our team. I see a good season ahead regardless of the play at the scrimmage. This looks like a good team and the season looks promising.

Caldwell.....prolly will be 4-6..maybe 5-5 6-4 at best...lets look at their schedule...

Liberty Hill- could be close but I'll take LH
Madisonville-gimme M'ville
Hearne-CHS should take that one
Smithville-CHS big
Giddings-give me the Buffs
Cameron Yoe-I'll take the Yoemen
Rockdale-this is for 3rd...RHS should take this one
Marlin-Bulldogs win big
Troy and Lorena should be wins..

If the young Hornets can find some O.they might surprise some people. they were in the cameron & marlin game in the 4th quarter last year & couldn't finish the deal.the O just couldn't hold the ball long enough to let the D rest.

OK my two cents....they way yall are predicting us to come out sounds like LAST years team not THIS years team. Secondly, if our players keep their heads straight we will be just fine. I have alot of faith in our team. Cant wait for tomorrow night!! Hope to see some of yall there, ill be in the stands supportin my boys!

ok ok ok......so caldwell MIGHT have something this year. but let's remember last year, they were 5-0 untill district, then they went what......1-4? Actually we (Cameron) had yall right after the 3rd quarter started. It shouldn't really matter how they do in pre-district games.....cause its all about district. I'd like to see what you guys can do, when you finally do it. Good Luck to ya Caldwell.....see ya in on October 10 at Yoe Field at 7:30 for the district opener!

Liberty Hill- Prolly Caldwell by 2 TD's
Madisonville- toss up
Hearne- hearne good give a run for the money
Smithville- prolly Caldwell by 4 TD's or more
Giddings- gotta go with the Buffs
Cameron Yoe- Cameron by 10 pts.
Rockdale- Rockdale is a better team this year
Marlin- Can't beat the Bulldogs
Troy- Upset CHS last year, can do it again
Lorena- prolly Caldwell by 2 TD's

Not!

Yes preseason doesn't really matter but to our boys it does. I have terrific confidence in them. I think that this a new team and a new season and
I honestly think that we will win this year. The Hornets consist of a lot of young players but players that know the game and play hard. I think we will do well. We will find out tonight. GO HORNETS! :p
