After 6 1/2 innings the score is Texas 3 Texas A&M 0. Texas is the home team. Texas got their points mostly due to errors and mistakes by the Lady Aggies in the second inning. The CAT is pitching a great game though.

Texas struck out again. Three outs! The sixth inning is over. The Lady Aggies have one last chance. The CAT is still pitching and with a three run lead that is dangerous.

The CAT struck out the first batter. Two more outs to go for Texas to win. The Lady Aggies appear to be determined so these last two outs will probably be difficult to get.

Texas got another strikeout. But the last out of a game is quite often the hardest.

I told you the last out can be difficult. The Lady Aggie hit a fly out to the rf who caught it for the third out. Texas wins 3 to 0!

This game was basically a defensive struggle with both pitchers doing a good job and good defensive play. Except for a bad second inning by the Lady Aggies this game might have gone into extra innings. Texas gets the 1/2 point in the State Farm Lone Star Showdown. It appears that there are still 3 Texas Lady Horns that are not playing because of the bench accident but hopefully they will be available soon. Good game by both teams!
