The Diamond Shamrock and Exxon across the street from it are still $2.09 but I look for them to go up to Circle K price tonight or tomorrow.

The lowest I've seen in Sherman today was $2.14 after the 3 cents off with the Kroger card. Even Wal-Mart was $2.09 yesterday, and $2.18 this afternoon.

Insane. Of COURSE this happens right after I buy an SUV.

couldnt find anything below 2.19 in Corpus Christi. but by the time i got to Taft, i found only 1 place with 2.09 gas. and the gal was changing the sign to 2.19 just as i pulled up. but the pump sid 2.09 so i filled every last drop i could fit into that tank of mine. if i had empty coke cans, i woulda filled those too.

Perhaps if we weren't so close to all those gasoline refineries around here we wouldn't be paying one of the highest prices in the state (not)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need to get these gasoline prices below $2 (for the supreme) or employers are going to lose workers that have to commute out of town. :(

I hope you are right Jason. But it may be economically feasible for them to take lower paying jobs because of commuting prices. :(

you're better off keeping your higher paying job and waiting until gas prices go back down, that way when they do, you're making more than the lower paying job you would be stuck at...

I'm glad I don't live in any of these countries (for more reasons than gas prices)...

Great Britain: $5.64 a gallon, Germany $5.29 and Japan $3.84.

i was told by someone who works for exxonmobil that gas prices should be at 3.19 around christmas...

Wouldn't it be cheaper the closer you are to refineries. . . cuz wouldn't it costs a lot less to get shipped to a gas station across the street from a plant than to a place in like amarillo . . . I just got gas and I think it was $2.29 for regular unleaded.

personally, I love these prices. . . you're never gonna hear me complain.

yeah, but the dollar has just about no leverage in those countries too, right? I may be wrong.

Monday or Tuesday, gas in Liberty Hill was $2.01 - "cheap" gas in Cedar Park last week was $1.93. Today, gas in LH was $2.13-$2.15. What had been the "cheap" gas last week was the highest I noticed at $2.17. I heard on the news that gas could peak this summer around $2.55.

These high prices could be a hard ship on a lot of people even those with fairly good income because you not only have to make high monthly vehicle payments (and insurance isn't cheap) you have to do regular maintenance and repairs and then the gasoline prices go up. I think it is because of the oil companies myself and not meaning to get political but federal and state congressmen and the president hasn't been making any comments on it but I guess maybe that is because it isn't an election year.
