Congratulations to Markeith Wesley for winning the state championship in Div. II (AAA) powerlifting this past weekend in the superheavyweight class. His three best lifts were: squat 755 lbs, bench 420 lbs, and deadlift of 700 lbs. The deadlift set a new state meet record and his total of 1875 set a new state meet record for his class.

Other Rattlers competing at the meet were: Alan Johnson who placed 6th in the 165.5 class and Chris Smith who placed 7th in the 220.5 class.

Congratulations!! Most lifters don't put up those numbers in both the squat and deadlift. The squat favors more of the short and stocky guys, while the deadlift tends to favor a taller lifter. Great performance!! :clap: :clap: :clap:

They Finished 2nd and 3rd. Spencers squat was 850 and Sierra's Squat was 800. Not sure about the other things.
