I know he's a move-in. He does play football, right? If not, somebody needs to talk him into it!

Port Lavaca, Tx...which is close to the coast...don't think the wind was blowing, though...

The meet was in Port Lavaca and there was a slight tailwind but when I say slight I do mean slight......

no wind in port lavaca..that seems hard to believe. very fast time wind or not.

Even if that isn't FAT it still is blazing fast.

Shhh! Cuero has enough speed as it is! Besides track is obvious his thing and what he will be getting a scholarship on. No need to take chances with injuries ruining a great track career at this point and time. :)

Though I don't see him being a 'Blanton', I do believe there is an ounce of 'Don't take away from our home-town boy's spotlight' living in Holmes_Fan when Brandon James is mentioned...

Every time we post a message about Brandon James he gets defensive haha...

I believe he's the usual Cuero move-in... Family from in and around Cuero, and when Cuero gets hot a lot of people come toword home, that's what I've gotten out of it anyway (apparently his mother had been living in Cuero for some time now, what do I know, though? I'm just a has-been)...

It wasn't too windy yesterday around here (I'm in PL area now) yesterday... but the wind is kicking up today... I actually remember the bay being like glass for most of the day yesterday, choppy as heck today though I'm sure...

Still haven't seen him run. I know several people that were there. Wind was dead calm. The day after a cold front and the day before it turned around to the south. The guy and gal I talked to likened it to watching Johnny "Lam" Jones run. Almost a disappointment once you saw it in person. Smooth, Smooth, Smooth. It is not until you look down at your clock and see the time that you appreciate it. Fabian Olguin ran 10.72 and got beat 6 or 7 meters.
I think I will go to the Texas Relays and see what all the fuss is about.

I wouldn't beleive he was running those times if I saw him myself and he was born and raised in Forney. When you show me his times at the state meet then I will beleive it.

Off the subject but.... what would be considered a fast 40 yard dash for a 7th or 8th grader??

gobbler84

Also the 800 relay ran a 1:29.6 without Martell Williams and Bradley Bomba. When BJ got the stick for last leg they were 50 meters behind Rockport. When he finished they were 6 meters behind them.

5-6 seconds, and MAYBE a high 4
