How many of you have this problem? How could we pass a vote to put in an extra 10 min rest for those guys. At the District, Regional and State level competition. Most of them are wore out because after running the 100m, they have to come back and run the 4x200 the very next race...

Any Ideas ?

dont run em on both....we had to keep a kid off of the 4x200 because he was in the 400.

Last year Snyder had a 49.2 1/4 guy who also ran on the 4x200 relay and did it well up until the regional final when the time between the races was shorter and the heat was higher. the 4x200 went to state but he finished 3rd in the 400 ( did have the fastest 400 in the region at the time ). Its just how it falls.

This is the reason why u should always train to run at a higher level than your own ability. 49.2 is typical time fo regular season but its not going to get the gold at state. wasn't last year state time 47.08, and then the guy slowed down at the finish line. Just fight and train harder you will eventually get use to running back to back events. I support all long sprinters
