Astrodawg...What is Jasper's record so far and how do they look as a team this year? One more question, does Art still call the baseball games on the radio?

Not sure about the standings in Jasper's district but someone asked how Jasper has been doing and I found an article in the Enterprise today that was about BC baseball and had an exerpt about Jasper at the bottom.

Bevo to be honest, I don't know what our record is. But as far how we look as a team I have to say far better than what I expected. And yes Art Lay is still calling the games for 102.7 KTXJ Jasper.

In a rebuilding year, who cares about the record. It only counts when district rolls around, and Jasper is 2-0 in district! :)
Way to go big Dogs! :)

Sorry for the question about their record jdog. But I do or I wouldn't have asked it. Until now...I didn't even know that they were a young (rebuilding year) ball club. It's just that I can't seem to find any information anywhere (Lufkin, Jasper's KJAS Radio or Beaumont Papers) at that time...But Beaumont had just came out with somewhat of a little information on the dogs year. Thanks for the heads up Hupernikomen, which was under the Cardinals article in yesterdays paper.
...and I am glad to see that the "young" team is rolling strong in District play.
Good Luck Dogs & thanks for the info guys...

I didn't mean to dismiss your question, I just do not know the correct answer. I have seen different records posted. At one time I saw they were 12 and 7. Another place I saw they were 13 and 11 or something. I don't know what to believe. This I do know, they don't have to worry just yet about being ranked in the top 10. That really is what I meant. Jasper has played a very tough schedule and has taken some lumps. Now, the "real" season starts.
Hopefully we can start getting some better information now.

By probably you mean there's better than a 51% chance of that happening, right? What happens if they play the right team at the wrong time? Let's say Rice Consolidated, just for argument's sake.
