heard it was a great scrimmage, newtons offence was a bit rusty at first but picked up good at the end.Newtons deffance was quick, powerfull , at swarming the ball like always. I beleve this is going to be another winning year for Newton

Newton looked good. The defense was great and the offense is going to be great also. Logan Greer is going to have a good senior year at quarterback, and both backs (Ty Hopkins and Sam Foster) are tremendously fast. The two varsity sophmore backs looked good also. I think they scored twice on Ozen in the controlled part and Ozen didn't score any. In the two quarters of regular play neither team scored. This says a great deal about both teams defenses. Ozen has a very good offense. We scrimmage Crockett on Friday. It will be a good season here in Newton.
