Until I read further down, I thought this was a joke.

I didn't wanna sound ignorant and ask if it was Myrtle Beach South Carolina but is that where they went?

Darn, I wanted to say that! :D

As far as who paid, I feel sure there were some folks in Jasper who raised the money. They have a good history of doing that for track guys, but I had not heard of it for golf. They have sent the better track guys to all kinds of national meets over the years.

Their booster club paid for them to go. They had a lot of money saved up since they didn't go anywhere big except some local tournaments. Thats just hear tell though. But I'm 99% sure that is it.

When is the district tournament? It's at Rayburn Country, right? I also heard that it would be only a 18 hole tournament instead of 36, that sucks. It should come down to Silsbee, Jasper, and Coldspring for the championship. Playing only 18 holes instead of 36 could bring some luck into it, we'll see.

If they can do it in Jasper, then Cuero ought to be able to do it. :)
