The game will be on Saturday in Sweeny because of the UIL academic meet.

I think it'll be a good game, but my main focus is getting ready for the game with Columbia on Tuesday night first. There are several real good teams in the district this battling it out for just 3 playoff spots.

That's good that there is no trash talk........softball in our district is one sport where all 6 coaches get along very well with each other. I know in years' past, we all have supported each other in the playoffs too.

I agree! Down in 24 3A a lot of the girls from different HS teams know each other very well because the either play on the select same team or play each other regularly in select year round ball. The parents are all friends. Sportsmanship in X-Country and Softball is quite an asset for the youth to grow up in a good wholesome attitude based atmosphere. I think Sweeny will win this one that you are talking about....I also like Sealy in the long look at bracket climbing.

well said 18-- not everything said in here has to be trash talk.....ill have to say from experience the last 3 years ive played in wharton....that even though the games may be really intense, the teams and coaches do get along really well....its definately alot less complicated that way....less pressure on the players and coaches alike

It is great how well the coaches get along, and how the teams support their district once the playoffs begin. Classy programs, and it always starts with the coaches. The only problem is we haven't figured out a way to keep 18's cap on, and he keeps blinding our players!

That's why we're playing at 6:00, so I won't blind everyone.

didnt they change it because sweeny has some players running in a track meet??

We changed to the later start to accomodate those that are running track also on Saturday.

No, I don't know if I'm going to O's tonight. I need a night at home and I need some time away from a lot of things to think about what I want to do.

Must be. I looked at the softball bible (Sweeny Lady Bulldog's softball homepage) and it had it listed at 6pm. Well, there goes the steak grilling I had planned.

I know you too well, you can grill at anytime and be happy!

18, you are right there. Tell you what, the winner buys the steaks. We didn't get this fat by missing any meals!
