Congratulations to all three for being selected this year...for induction into the National High School Hall of Fame.
Ty Detmer won the Heisman Trophy in 1990 as a junior at Brigham Young (13 yrs in the NFL)...QB at Southwest HS. He had passed for 8,005 yards in three seasons of high school.
Sean Elliott, although he attended HS in Arizona...He played 11 of his 12 year in the NBA with the Spurs. (...first player in league history to return to action following a major organ transplant after receiving a kidney from his brother in 1999).
...Also inducted this summer will be Chad Hennings, who played on three Super Bowl teams with the Dallas Cowboys. Not sure where he attended HS.
