However, when you drive through Sealy on HWY 10 check their sign: Sealy record win streak 63-1. La Grange gave them the "1" in 1997 with Tye Gunn as a freshman Qb and Lawrence Dobbins as tailback. wink

On paper, LG wins this one big. But, the game is at Elgin and the prediction is for rain. Elgin's field has horrible drainage. This game could be sloppy and there may not be a whole lot of scoring. Leps will win, but it'll be a close game. LG, 17-14.

In the battle of the cats, because of the refs and rain at Elgin, the wild ones by 8.

Hail Mary, Mother of God! Don't speak the truth about Elgin's officiating or you might get booted from here like other prophets before you.....

In the battle of the cats, because of the refs and rain at Elgin, the wild ones by 8.30 % chance of rain according to the radio this morning. Remember, it will rain on both sides of the field. A wet sloppy field will hurt Elgin more as they rely heavily on Isom's speed to the outside. LG has a power running game which works in wet weather conditions pretty much the same. LG doesn't pass as often as Elgin either so that is a plus in the rain. If it is muddy everyone gets dirty but that's okay by me. As for the officials, I think refs are pretty much the same anywhere. It all boils down to who wants this one the most. I give the edge to La Grange in a muddy defensive battle.

I think LaGrange will win this one, but I hope Elgin can come on top.
Good luck to both Teams.

I feel that Elgin is being greatly underestimated, they are a good team. I really don't think La Grange is as solid as they have been in the past. Elgin already has 1 big upset on the sheet....my prediction is this will be another one.

Elgin 24 La Grange 21

Elgin 24 La Grange 21Maybe Elgin is underestimated by some folks, but maybe Bellville isn't the team they were in years past either. eek!
I guarantee the Leps are not underestimating
the Wildcats. They know they will need to bring their best game to win. Good luck against Navasota. wink
Navasota 32 Bellville 14.

I know this might sound odd since I'm from Giddings but I hope La Grange pounds Elgin into the ground.

Due to the fact that I do not like LG for other reasons I do not want to talk about....LG and Elgin are both good football teams....but, since the game is in Elgin, rain is predicted, and officials (Elgin likes to cheat) I pick Elgin in a close one...Elgin 20 ..LG 16

What a game.
