Out of 24-3A Bridge City is doing well with a 13-4 record and Orangefield is playing very well with a 7-2 record. Last I saw Huffman-Hargrave out of district 23-3A was 8-0 and ranked #7.

Lorena should be tough, along with Lufkin Hudson.

La Grange and Barbers Hill are also very strong contenders.

Barbers Hill is 9-2 for the year and looking good. They have the Bats and the pitching is improving. Should be a tough road to get out of Region three with Jasper, Bridge City, Lorena and others to contend with.

Hi RBARKER, Good to see you back on line. I agree that BH will be deep into the hunt. The District races will all be close--yours. ours and the one just north of us. I saw BC really whip Jasper a couple of times this year(it was bad), but Jasper still has some potential especially when you look at the lighter bracket play they are recipients of, based on the UIL bracket assignments.
Winning in bracket play can be so nebulous--one game that you spread your hits out over 7 innings instead of putting most all of them in one inning and you are OUT!
BC has some real good teams to contend with in District, I think Orangefield would easily win that District with Lufkin Hudson etc: and WO-S has the potential to put a good game together and upset most all 3A teams. H-F and upstart H-J are also seeking a playoff berth.
I know that H-H and several others in your District can turn-the-tables on just about any team on a given contest.

How do you see your District playing out this year?

Hey OC our district (24) will be tough this year. BC is clearly the favorite and will win, but then after them any of the other teams could make it, although I'm not sure what Anahuac has. Orangefield is much improved and has a really good coach. WOS is always tough as is HF and HJ. It looks like a really good team will miss the playoffs out of this district. I have not seen anyone other than OF play this year. If their pitching holds up they should be one of the three playoff teams.

To Cat 22 I totally agree!
