Right now March 21, 2004 Goliad is atop the district at 2 - 0, Sinton and Aransas Pass follow at 1 -0 and both of them have had byes the first two games. Ingleside and Mathis are both at 0 - 2.

They are both currently playing in the ASA league in Portland. One is 12 but will be playing in the 16 & Under. My youngest is playing in the 8 & Under.

Today is one of those days...one daughter has practice in Portland at 5:30, one has practice in AP at the same time, I work until 6:00 and then have to get to Ingleside for a 7:00 game. My husband and I go in different directions and luckily the coach and a couple of other moms will give rides. :rolleyes: :D

I have two boys and both of them loved soccer but unfortunately there are no teams their ages. One is almost 14 and the other 12. I see you have a few years before the girls get into high school and start softball though.

True, 2 more years. When that day comes, mark my words, we will have a good team. These girls have been playing together in league and tournaments for years. They will be awesome by the time they get to high school.;)

Thanks for the information Pirate4State! Are the Varsity Boys playing at the same time? They are probably cancelling the JVS and moving times up early to get off for the weekend holidays.

I heard from someone from Sinton that has a girl on the JV that AP doesn't have enough players for a game tonight. Not sure what the problem is though.

As far as I know, the boys are still scheduled to play at 5:00 and 7:00. If I get a phone call or hear otherwise, I will let you know.;)

We are at the halfway point of the season and each team has its' place in the standings since there are no ties. As of today 03-30-05 the standings are as follows:

1. Goliad 4 - 0

2. Sinton 3 - 1

3. Aransas Pass 2 - 2

4. Ingleside 1 - 3

5. Mathis 0 - 4

There are four more district games for each team as the second half of the district season begins. All future district games will be played on Friday.

I have checked both the Victoria Advocate and the Caller Times and can't get the results on the girls game last night between Ingleside and Goliad. Did find the following in the Advocate on the boys.

Does anyone know the final score of the Goliad vs Ingleside softball game last night? :(

As of today the standings in 30AAA softball are as follows:

Goliad 6 - 0 with 2 games to play against Sinton and Aransas Pass. One bye left.

Sinton 4 - 1 with 3 games to play against Goliad, Aransas Pass & Mathis.

Aransas Pass 2 - 3 with 3 games left against Ingleside, Sinton & Mathis.

Ingleside 1 - 5 with 2 games left against Aransas Pass & Mathis & one bye.

Mathis 0 - 6 with 2 games left against Ingleside and Sinton and one bye.

This Friday Mathis has the bye.

The two scheduled district games are important because if Goliad beats Sinton then Goliad is the District Champions. This would also give Aransas Pass a chance to tie Sinton for runner ups if Sinton loses the remaining two games on its' district schedule provided that Aransas Pass wins its' last three games.

If Aransas Pass beats Ingleside this Friday then Aransas Pass would cinch at least the third playoff spot since they would be two games ahead of Ingleside and Ingleside only would have one game left. If Ingleside beats Aransas Pass they would be tied with Aransas Pass for the third spot provided they can beat Mathis in their last game of the season and Aransas Pass loses to Sinton and Goliad. If Aransas Pass loses to Ingleside this Friday and still beat either Sinton and Goliad then Aransas Pass gets the third spot.

Other possibilities could occur but I will wait till after the Friday night results to go into them. Whew!

We actually beat them in the Kenedy tournament also in a close 1-0 game.;)
