State Champs by region???

Anybody feel like doing a count as to what region is in the lead right now. I am saying across all conferences 1A-5A. I think it might be interesting to see who is on top.

I think Region IV probably has the fewest. The only ones I know of are: Sinton back in '96, Moulton a couple of times, San Antonio Taft, Corpus Christi West Oso may have one, Corpus Christi Flour Bluff, San Antonio Fox Tech, and Converse Judson. I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Sorry I didnt make clear what I was thinking. I was saying in regards to this year alone. All sports 1A-5A. Which region has the most titles so far through boy's bball.

Alright I got bored and put together these totals. They do NOT include the following activities that are part of the LSC: Marching Band, Swimming, and Wrestling. I didnt include band because its not an athletic event and the other two do not declare a team champion. Also, I didn't include Wylie's win in 3A tennis because its not a UIL sanctioned event. The results are as follows:

Region 1 - 13 titles
Region 2 - 13
Region 3 - 7
Region 4 - 4

Region 1 won the following: 5A and 3A football, 3A volleyball, 5A tennis, 3A and 2A Girls CC, 2A and 1A Boys CC, 5A, 4A, 3A, and 1A Girls BB, and 1A Boys BB.

Region 2 won the following: 5A, 4A, 3A, and both in 2A football, 4A and 1A volleyball, 4A tennis, 4A Girls CC, 5A Boys CC, 2A Girls Bb, and 4A and 3A Boys BB.

Region 3 won the following: 4A and 1A football, 5A and 1A Girls CC, 3A Boys CC, and 5A and 2A Boys BB.

Region 4 won the following: 1A football, 5A and 2A Volleyball, and 4A Boys CC.

I will save my excel sheet and try and remember to update it as more champs are crowned.

You've got Region 3 winning 3A and 2A boys BB, but Kountze is out of Region 3, but Van was out of Region 2. Right?
