I thought dodecagon was two dimensional. A three dimensional 12 sided object would be a dodecahedron wouldn't it?

i've also heard that it is accepted to use the number of sides plus gon for all shapes after dodecagon.
i.e. 13 sides would be thirteen and so on and so forth.
