Does anyone think that Glen Rose can win the district championship in 8-AAA? They have a good team and they work together. I think they can win the district championship.

All that Diamond-Hill Jarvis has is Vincent Tucker, and that's it. Glen Rose will stop Tucker and send their whole team back to the hood.

Gee I hope all of Glen Rose doesn't have that type of attitude because thats a good way to get beat. As for whether you can win district I'm not going to say its impossible but I don't think the odds are in your favor. From what I understand you guys don't have a very good run defense. If thats the case heres a couple of numbers for you to think about:
Vincent Tucker 173 carries 1567 Yards 17 tds
Rex Harper 77 for 1025 13 tds
JJ Jennings 87 736 10 tds
Theo Miller 77 677 9 tds
Now I could be wrong in which case yea maybe if you guys can beat Kennedale then yea. Of course then your going to have to deal with Everman in Everman and I'm not to trying to brag but Everman hasn't lost a home game in 4 seasons 1999(5-0)
2000 (4-0) 2001(6-0) and were (4-0) this sesaon at home. Like I said though anything is possible however unlikely.

Realistically, it would be very difficult for Glen rose to win the District Championship this year. Make the playoffs -- yes, if they beat Diamond Hill Jarvis this week (Game of the week in 8-3A.) Kennendale and Everman are tough, tough football clubs with many weapons across the board, but Kennandale demonstrated earlier this season that "David can slay Goliath."

Come on now Dog, Its nice of you to think of your team that way. But please you have to be joking. I cant wait to play Glen Rose. Last year they gave us a good game and im ready to murder yall. Yall dont have any speed, nor skills. The whole game Glen Rose will be looking at 27's back because yall sure cant catch him.

CTS -- Actually, I think you need to think about how CHS squandered a 28 point lead. The previous thought may provide insight -- that within District 8-3AAA that anything is possible -- Wouldn't you agree?

Good to know you guys will send all 19 of D-H's players back to the "hood" D-H may not be great but I have more repsect for those guys than just about anyone..they have more heart than most teams with 50 kids have....and they still manage to be competitve...well have beating up on DH and I hope you have a fun trip to the "hood" in Week 10

There is no way that Glen Rose even has a shot at being District Champions as long as Kennedale and Everman are in 8-3A. They can dream all they want but let's just be realistic..it aint gonna happen. Good Luck anyway, you guys are gonna need it.

Alright, there is no way that Glenrose can win district 8-AAA. Lets say perhaps that they did infact beat kennedale, which wont happen, they would still have to go to Everman to finish the season. Kennedale's D has steadily improved these last few weeks, and their offense can still jam a football down anyones throat, so sorry to squash your dreams g-rose, its not happenin!

OLINEMAN makes a great point. But in Texas High School football, a play off berth is significant, just like the NFL. And, the dream is to make the playoffs. We'll see tomorrow night if Glen Rose is capable of acheiving that dream.

Allright.....All this talk of Glen Rose being district champs of 8-3A is retarded.....There is NO way Glen Rose will be district Champs. They will get blown out by Everman and Kennedale..... and that is a fact. I'll bet money on it. Glen Rose doesn't have near the team speed that Everman and Kennedale have and they can't stop the run. But Good Luck to ya..... you are gonna need alot of luck to pull off the district title.
