Navasota baseball team downs Giddings, 7-4
The Navasota baseball team improved to 4-2 with a 7-4 victory over Giddings.
Tanner Shiflett, 2-0, struck out 11 in six innings. Tim Byers, Josh Wisnoski and Augi Alfaro each had two hits.
“We have several guys banged up right now,” Navasota coach Rudy Rangel said. “Young kids are getting the chance to step up and contribute. We executed our small-ball game plan well with four bunts.
“Tanner Shiflett looked solid again and has 25 Ks in 13 innings.”
