PP won those in 2A (the majority, anyway)...

SLC Had 27 in 3A, making it 29 in 4A and 5A, which is why I didn't highlight them...

That's the answer I was looking for.

We call Gainesville 1.) The Villa or 2.) G-Ville.

Sweetwater played a total of 30 playoff games from 1989 thru 2003. 19 games were in 4A. The other 11 have been in 3A, begining with the 2000 season. This is not counting the 4 playoff games the Mustangs played in 2004.

i think sinton would have a considerably higher placing on that list if it was extended just 1 year.

The years on this help Vernon as they went to the finals in 89 and won state in 90. Then they have regularly made the playoffs each year since then. Having a regional championship appearance in 01 and a semi final appearance in 03.

I'm glad I found this topic on the other board, I never knew about Vernon being so dominant come playoff time...

They have won -- 1 state title, but been there twice and been to the semi finals 5 times. Most of that came under Coach Leo Britian who since retired. Vernon had a good run four and two years ago, but this past year they didn't even make the playoffs. They should be back though with two good underclassman teams coming up. Also the players from those state teams have kids now that are highschool age. You know those family genes!
