I'd say the Jackrabbits served big time notice to everyone in the state that they are primed and ready to make a run..

Sure looked that way to me also. Hope Gainesville was paying attention. wink

I really think Rush, his staff, and the kids are tired of coming up just short. We'll see what happpens next week against Gville most likely. That should be a tough test.

I tell you this. If they play like they played for the first half last night (I left at halftime), they are gonna be hard to beat. I was very impressed, and I'm glad now that Lindale made the playoffs (Gilmer D2, Lindale D1) wink .
Gilmer vs. Forney would have one attractive point. Talk about an offensive showdown! I don't think the Forney defense could stop our offense, and I KNOW our defense couldn't stop that juggernaut of y'all's! It would be an offensive fan's dream come true. That score would be:
Forney 112
Gilmer 112 9OT
(game ends in a tie after all referees suffer exhaustion)

yes, forney's offense was impressive. carthage did run for a alot of yards but bottom line is they only scored twice against the first team defense - maybe only once. forney's special teams were OUTSTANDING - only the fumbled kickoff to tarnish a great special teams performance.

I guess that makes 20-3a Diboll's 21-0 whipping of Carthage even more impressive! :D

How did Mesquite Horn beat Forney? I know they are 4A but so was Aledo who I would consider a much better 4A team and a team Forney beat 17-14.

We had 7 turnovers. We played an awful second half. It was also the first time in our new stadium...a lot of distractions I guess, who knows.

Mesquite Horn would put a hurtin on Aledo...remember Aledo is in Region 1...not near as tough as Region 2...especially in 4A..Horn had a VERY tough district, Highland Park, Wylie, Richardson Pearce...no cake walks there

Hanie was hot last night - 10 of 13 for 200+ ... thats huge for fhs

I was just wondering...what whas cartherage record...? Were they even any good? Gainsville is playing a team with low record..Like all season...So this would make the forney gainsville game very exciting. Gainsville looks real good like everman of last two years. Forney of course steps up big come playoff. Man i cant wait for this game!

carthage's record was 8-3 before last night's game and ive seen from their scores that they tend to give up quite a few points too...guess their defense this year wasnt as good as last year's or forney's offense is that much better from last year...

Congrats to Forney, way to take care of business. I'm still hoping for Everman vs Forney III!!!
