the cutoff numbers for 3A and all other classes will be determined after the reallignment...actually, they will be a fallout of the realignment process ... not "determined after" :D

I'm aware of the fact that they want more teams in the 5A ranks.....which means the low end numbers currently for 5A could stay the same, or go down.

To make up for the teams leaving 4A to go to 5A, they'll drop the low end 4A number/high end 3A number down to allow some 3As to move up to 4A.

I do think that the current low end # for 3A will remain the same, or may be lowered some to have some move up from 2A.

SO, with all that being said, my guess for 3A numbers is going to be 380-849

TFNT...I was thinking along the same lines...my last calculation came up with 350-849 (However I wouuldn't be surprised if the low end was actually a little lower, maybe as low as 350). To those who are predicting a low number in the mid 450's...you may want to look at the number of schools that would be within your range first. Example: Using the last realignment numbers if you totaled the schools between say 450 and 960...you would only have 167 schools. Which is not enough to make a decent 3a bracket.
