hey i know 7 on 7 is not as exciting as real football but a lot of 3a teams participate in it i know Marlin just beat Academy and Lexington yesterday so tell me how ur schools are doing and if you think 7 on 7 can tell anything about the future

Rather than do 7 on 7, Sinton opts to start 2 a days earlier than most of the other schools. Thats how we are doing :-)

I think that 7 on 7 is good for honing skills in the passing game and getting alot of reps in for the backs and recievers. It also gives the guys something to do and a goal to shoot for. However, it doesn't mean that it will translate into 11 man success. Too many other factors involved. Alot of really good teams don't run a passing offense. Many teams may have a few good skill position players (or one really great one), but have no linemen to back them up. Some players excel in the no contact 7on7 but wilt when it is time to knock some heads. The list goes on and on.

I am part of a 7 on 7 team back at marion and i think 7 on 7 doesnt have anything to do with how your season goes. Every year we competet in it and beat 5A schools that do well in football and i see no resemblence in the regular football season and our 7 on 7 team. As for this years team there isnt much to say except that do to poor attitudes and no work ethic our 7 on 7 team will do as well as our football season has been.

obviously 303A is confused ... if sinton starts earlier in the fall then its just because other choose to start later ... 7 on 7 participation has nothing to do with when you can or choose to start fall practice ... only 4A/5A have options and it involves not having spring drills and getting an extra week in the fall ... if i'm off on that someone please set it straight

My understanding is that you can do either/or. Either do 7 on 7 and spring drills, or do 2 a days earlier. My dad is a football official, i will have to ask him about that.

7 on 7 has nothing to do with when you start 2-a-days at any level. Only spring ball affects that and that is only 4A and 5A.
