This game will be televised tonight on FSSW channel tonight at 7! This is a game included in the State Farm Lone Star Showdown competition and will be worth half a point. It will probably go to the Aggies because even though the game is in Austin the Longhorns have lost too many starters to grades and injuries. Still may be a good game though but the half point will probably go to the Aggies.

Once again I wish to point out that this thread (and all my threads) are for informational purposes only and not to spark an argument about which school is better or worse.

Fox Sports Net is perhaps the WORST television network in the history of TV. From bad anchors to bad reporting to bad reception.

If A&M beats Texas, does that put Texas on the bubble?

I think Texas may have already slid onto that bubble

ESPN.com already has UT listed on the bubble.

Something leads me to believe that the Horns will be able to overcome their recent player losses for tonight's game.

After seeing the first few minutes, I agree with you LHPM. We aren't helping much either. We can't hit a shot to save our own lives. I hope this turns around and becomes a really good game.

the same team that has been doing relatively good this season was not the team that played tonight......i'm not saying yall got lucky, but yall did not play a&m...maybe yall played A&M kingsville or something

Thats kind of like saying when A&M won in College Station that ya'll didn't play Texas, maybe Texas State.

That was a "straight to the slaughterhouse, the gates are already open" butchering. Give UT that credit; they knocked the Aggies out of sync from the get-go and A&M never recovered... not that it would've helped.

its ok....John said something on those lines about his football teams performance in Waco last October....i guess he thinks they send different teams to visiting arenas r something and give them maroon jerseys...of course that cant be true! everyone knows the aggies never get beat, they only beat themselves! ::sarcasm:: yack yack

You know, I've seen a lot of games that this could be said about, but last night's game was definitely not one of them. And, this isn't a jab.

No because then it would have been about a 5 point game. :D

This game really surprised me because I thought without the two starters Texas wouldn't win even with the home court advantage but I was wrong on that. Buckman, Taylor and Gibson really stepped up and the Texas crowd was into the game. A real turnaround by Texas! This means that now in the State Farm Lone Star Showdown that Texas has 5.5 points to Texas A&M's 3.0 points. Points needed to win the showdown: Texas 4.5 points, Texas A&M 7.0 points.

I knew that the Aggies were going to get beat but not that bad.

i didn't expect us to pull it out just because it was in ATX but i didn't expect it too be that bad

See, now I thought with the way we HAD been playing and the way UT HAD been playing, that we would go in and win. Not by much, but we would win. I pictured the game happening a little different than what really did happen.:D
