Baylor is looking at Omaha this year....too much experience and too much dissappointment from last year...

Baylor better keep their eye on the Big XII before they start thinking about Ohama...plenty of competition they have to get past just to make the playoffs.

true but u forget to make the playoffs in teh big 12 u dont have to win it, just come in the top 4 or 5....now dont get me wrong we want to win the big 12 but it is not absolutely necessary to go to omaha....

Baylor won the game on 6 run with 6 hits.
Rice only had 1 run off of 13 hits.
Improvement needed by both teams.

John we have won a big 12 championship in baseball before in 2000....not to mention 8 Big 12 championships total since the Big 12 has been formed....11 if u count the season and tourney seperate....

Still beating Rice is an acomplishment considering that they were national champions two years ago and have been in the final four the past several years.

In keeping statistics for the pitcher what does the term BOBs mean? (Is that just another term for walks?) Also what is the position is Dp?

Oops! I meant to post my last one to a new thread. Maybe it will get answered anyway.

yes phil i used to keep score for my sister's softball tourney team so i know these answers...BOB is bases on balls like u inferred so yes, its just another way to put walks....DP is designated player, in ASA softball you can do this and it works just like a DH....however they change this rule around so it could be a little different now....

no prob...u might wanan ask around about the DP thing though cause ASA likes to change that rule and it has been a few years since my sister played tourney ball...but i think it is the same, i didnt notice a difference in that rule at any games i saw last year
