Bubba - Joe done found out that the Fort Stockton Panthers are going to be a lookin for a new head coach. Gary Roan; who lead da Panthers to a Tri-Dist Championship this past season is headed east to rebuild the pride in Stamford Texas.
Bubba-Joe wonders what all dem folks out West think about this
3 coaches outta that Far Western Dist are going to be new next season, and as of today no coaches have been named to replace any of em
Monahans - open "Hanna has been run out of Town
Greenwood - Purser for some strange reason chose to resign/retire
Fort Stockton - Roan leaving of his on choice
What ever happens 3-3A will look different next yr

roan has made it known that he was pretty much out the door, it'll be fun once applications start being taken...
Are you not a Roan fan. Seems like he did a good job with the kids

he was a good coach don't get me wrong, he had his run and i wish he would stay but he is not. So in that case we have to look on and try to get a good coach in here....
Do you know who he is taking with him.

no i don't , i know a few coaches who might go, like gossett, the defensive coordinator, and i don't see hall staying after jefferson graduates...
I have heard that they are allready talking to Hall about the AD position. Hall would be a good AD you think

i really don't know anything of him other then he speaks the "truth". he seems to have a great knowledge about the game but we will see......
I thought that all coaches spoke the truth

He is a crazy man anyway. He get the best out of his kids though.

alot of kids like him, hell one even moved to marfa, his running back, aguilar. 2nd teal all-state, all everything else, he is from stockton but left to play for henson.
you know you can't really tell. Talking to Hall and him telling me that they are talking to him doesn't mean that they are going to give it to him and Henson seems to be doing a good job in Marfa. I am sure it is up in the air right now.

very true, just like verbel commitments, you just never know
I can imagine that it will be looked at by alot of coaches. Winning is not going to be all of the time but it is a well paying job.

all i know is that we need someone who can get things going and stay for a extended amount of time. i ahte when some new guy comes in and stays 2 years and never accomplishes anything, the facilities are here and are good. we just need to find that man.
I know their are some winning yrs still left in Stockton but it seems like they come and go like the coaches. Maybe they see that.

its all about the bloodlines. won district in 1978 with 6 of those players going D1 and 1 going pro. the children of those players seniors in 1997, went 7-3. lost 2 of the 3 games to top 10 rankes sweetwater, number 2 at the time and andrews. who had shaud williams. all 3 losses on the road. then this past year the younger bros. of that team won district. it's crazy how that works out. the way of life out here is work, work, work, ans sports, sports, sports....

i was on the 1988 team that went 0-10. we wre tied in all the games at one point or another but we ended up losing all of them, lol

yeah....lol, then we kicked off....downhill from there
got some different news this morning. A coach at Monahans told me that Hall is going with Roan, but was approached by administration about the job and he said that he did not want any part of it. Said he was trying to get out of Stockton as fast as he can.
