As I told OldCardinal earlier region three softball is going to be a hard climb for any of the teams on the top ten and anyone else with Splendora, Bridge City, Barbers Hill and Caldwell.

Region III has some other stiff teams--Huntington has some of the Houston Power select team girls. They are about the only ones to equal the Beaumont Blast, Texas Pepper, Gulf Coast Breakers overall all age programs. Also, Lufkin Hudson, Orangefield, West Orange-Stark, LaGrange, and Hamshire-Fannett are good HS programs this year. I have heard that Palestine may be a sleeper also. I know Elkhart-Slocum in the best in 2A and they are right next to Palestine and they play together on year round teams.
I see Little Cypress-Mauriceville is ranked #1 in 4A. Cody Trahan is just awesome both pitching and at the plate. It will be better than the final four as LC-M, Nederland and PNG vie for the District Championship.

they'll be competitive - thay have a brutal non-league schedule (Sachse, Mesquite Horn, Rowlett, Corsicana , Greenville, Plano Senior High, Sulphur Springs, Arlington Tournament, another Arlington Tournament) ... but they're not deep. I'd say Poteet is the district favorite.
