Cuero's Latreal Cooper. The kid was injured last year, but is supposedly one of the top three backs in the state from the class of '06. Anyone from Cuero know anything else?

Good size 6'2" 210, 4.4, and ran consistent 10.60 100 meter dashes . Last year as sophomore he ran for 1300 yds. and 16 tds. He's listed in Dave Campbell's top underclassmen for 2004.Sometimes I wonder how the season would have ended if he had not been injured in the scrimmage with Gregory-Portland.

MY info says he really likes Texas...

MY info also says, OU and LSU jumped on his bandwagon after his injury during the GP scrimmage this year... sounds crazy, but it's true...

I still think Colt McCoy is the next Major Applewhite. He even has the slick name.

I got to watch McCoy a couple of times in high school and he really impressed me. I can just hear Sports Center announcers making refrences to him as Colt 45 or something like that

I don't know about Cuero fans but I will always wonder if the unfortunate injury to Latral Cooper may have in the end cost Cuero the State Championship. Not that the replacements weren't outstanding but Still he might have been able to have made that extra run that would have won it for Cuero. Of course we will never know.

I always hate for teams (ours and opponents) to lose players to injuries because it has happened to us several times even though in football and all sports sometimes it can't be helped.
