Newton, it always made the rivalry even more intense.

the first Everman team that beat Burnet in the final. That was the second best 3A team ever. ( i think they would have beaten both 4a finalist that year)

Odem is missed in our district mainly because of the rivalry since the schools are only 7 miles apart. This rivalry was almost as big as the Sinton - Taft rivalry which has continued even though Taft went to 2A also.

That makes Forney the 3rd best ever 3a team:D

whatever happened to Daingerfield, they were such the powerhouse in the mid 1980's and now you don't hear about them...

I actually think the Everman team that beat Sinton in the finals was pretty good too.

Being from Gainesville, I would have to say Celina, Forney and Burnet. All of these 3 teams would fill the stadium up.

I'm gonna say Springtown and Aledo. The Bulls used to have some great games against those teams. One of the greatest games I ever saw was a 22-21 Bull victory over Springtown in the 93' season, for which I don't think the Porcupines have ever forgiven us.

The Bulls had several good games with Southlake, when they were 3A in the early 90's, jason.
