Ground Hog Random Question

I just heard on the radio that the Ground Hog saw his shadow this morning. I have not seen the sun for three days, so how can a Ground Hog see his shadow? As far as that goes, how do we know he sees his shadow? It is called a GROUND hog for a reason, I dont believe you can see alot under the ground other than the dirt right in front of you. Just a random thought.

I haven't seen the sun here either...but ground hogs look cute don't they? I thought i'd add that...lol...

i think the poor lil 'hog looks violent....his thoughts: "if this tubby happy guy doesn't let go of me...he'll find himself a bit warmed by my shadow's lil friend..."
