The ESPN announcer said that it is neck and neck between the Spurs and Suns whose coach gets to coach the West for the NBA All Star Game. The great Spurs Coach Greg Poppavitch has never coached an all star game and it would be great if he could. If the Spurs beat the Lakers it will probably cinch it for him since they probably own the tie breaker in that the Spurs have beat the Suns twice this year. If the Spurs lose then Phonix probably have a chance to pass them since they have two games left with Minnesota (tonight) and NY on Saturday. Unfortunate or fortunately Phonix has a slight advantage in that they will have one more game to count since they will have 49 games counted toward it and the Spurs 48. But if they Spurs win it should cinch it. It won't be easy beating Kobe and the Lakers though. Come on Spurs! Beat the Lakers!

Is Kobe back??? I didnt know he was playing again. Maybe Im just out of the loop. They should give the All-star coach to Poppavitch just because the Suns win because of Nash, not due to coaching. That was proven a few weeks ago when Nash was out. They just werent the same team.

Phoenix won tonight so it is up to the Spurs tomorrow night because I expect Phoenix to beat New York and unfortunately they get to play an extra game on the Spurs.
