this next friday is going to be the most emotional and anticipated football game to date in the history of liberty hill vs. burnet. in the past years, the panthers have always been a guaranteed win for the bulldogs of burnet (no offense meant for lh in any way). the games were never really attended by the burnet fans or even the liberty hill fans, unless homecoming was scheduled for that game by either team. this year is a totally different story however. the panthers have been extremely impressive with their now 9-0 record and potent offensive attack with a proven running back. the liberty hill team has been working to gain and attract the respect of other 3a teams and has gained it from all in district thus far. congratulations on a job well done guys.

burnet comes into this fridays matchup #2 in the state of texas for class 3a. they are lead by a cast of outstanding performers in patrick miller, stephen mcgee, jordan shipley, warren christian, ben rountree, ty kuhn and many many others. the team is just now getting to their peak performing abilities, and are finding themselves more and more successful when they play as a single unit. the team has come a long way since last years loss to bellville in the first round of the playoffs. the seniors are taking leadership roles as well as the juniors and are molding themselves into a well oiled machine. the numbers put up by the offense are outstanding, and the much improved defense is making themselves a name as they stop many teams to very few yards and first downs. this matchup, come friday night, will be a showdown. the two teams are going to come into this game blazing on all cylinders, and wanting to take home the district title home with them. good luck to both teams, and safe travel and safe play. hopefully there will be good sportsmanship rather than that of those from our neighbors in llano. look foreward to seeing whoever comes to the game, and i know that liberty hill's stadium will be overflowing without a move to leander or wherever.

Spaniard...you are so right...when Burnet comes together as a single unit. They played really well tonight but there is still some room for improvement. I am wondering what the score could have been if the weather had been more cooperative tonight.

The LH game is going to be the best regular season game the burnet fans will have the chance to watch. We better get to LH early or take chairs because this is going to be a standing room only game! I also thinks cars are going to be parked all the way to 29!!! Go Dawgs!!!
