View Full Version : La Grange JV v Bellville JV tonight

Since Smithville doesn't have enough sophomores for a JV team the La Grange Frosh will play Smithville's Freshman/JV team tonight. The LG JV I believe are playing Bellville in Bellville instead. Anybody know if that is the case? Should be interesting to see how our JVs stack up against Bellville's. They are 5-2 now and playing very good football. The last time our JVs met was in 2001 when we played them twice and won both times in very exciting and competetive games. Many of those kids are playing varsity now, including my son. :)

Usually most of the players are on Varsity, leaving what is left to fill a JV team, a number of 10th graders on varsity a few years back leaving a depeted JV team. the Freshmen are kept together and are usually pretty good, this year is no exception they are undefeated, as are the Varsity. Most of the times the JV is left in the middle with less players, so you cant go on the assumption if your JV beats someone a few years back, and they are on Varsity now they will do the same. Players stay together usually untill the 10th grade, then there slit up if you are good as a 10th grader you go to Varsity, if not you hope for the best on JV. I havent seen Bellville JV this year so I dont know what they have. Maybe we will get 22 to let us know after he gets back from the game.

Drove by on my way home. At half it is Bellville 28, LaGrange 6.
Bellville looks very versatile. Leps having trouble moving the ball.
