New England
Larry Centers--Tatum
NFL's all time leader in receptions and yards by a running back.
should be a hall of famer.. Retired after his first super bowl last year. Played pool with him at Legend's in Longview in August while he contemplated returning but decided to hang em' up..

Philadelphia
Bobby Taylor--Longview
Now with Seattle--why he didn't play more i don't know.. they could use the help.

It sounds like Texas is well represented in this years super Bowl! I just wished that it was the Cowboy's instead of the Eagles.

#18 Cedric James for the New England Patriots. Grad from Kennedale in I think 96. He went to TCU and played for the Vikings for 2 yrs. Then he was on the prc squad for the Cowboys and not I heard he was just on the prac squad for the Patriots so he wont be playing but its still pretty cool.

Exactly! College ball does not pay$$$ but those big winning programs and teams going to the bigger bowl games (whether they win or not) makes a big difference in a high school kids decision on what college they go to. :D

That can't be right...the Pats were there last year and I know for a fact some of those guys mentioned were also on the team last year.

Not according to Dave Campells Texas HS magazine

I'm assuming it was Texas athlete, since every other year it has 5 or 6 people

Your facts are wrong. Last year's Super Bowl had New England vs. Carolina in Houston. Aggies Ty Warren (Bryan) & Bethel Johnson (Corsicana) both played in the game for New England, along with Rice's Larry Izzo from the Woodlands. Ty & Bethel both were flashing their rings after the season in College Station. I am sure there were others, but those come to mind quickly. If DC's magazine printed that, he was in error.
