The only shot for shaking things up in the district is the very remote possibility of a Mt. Vernon upset over Lindale. Assuming that doesn't happen, Lindale will go D1 and Gilmer/Winnsboro will go D2. I'm not being cocky; I'm just saying that either Mineola or Rains will end up with one district win this year (the game when they play each other, they're THAT bad). If Lindale beats Mt. Vernon, they have to play Winnsboro and Gilmer to end the season with the three playoff teams already having been decided. The only real twist that can be placed on the playoffs is if we somehow lose to Lindale, there could be a 3-way tie for first. However, the chances of that are remote with Lindale being so down this year. I hate to say we have a cupcake district, but it is definitely not a strong one.
