I was dissapointed to hear this sitcom is ending. its a pretty darn good show. the 30 minute final episode due to air My 16th, is being filmed this week. i would love to see a spinoff maybe with Ray's parents moving to florida or something. they are hilareous.

What makes that show work is the relationship between Ray and his wife. I don't think a spin-off would work.

I hate to see this show end. It is one of my favorites. I think Frank is hilarious.

I never seem to watch these shows while they are on Prime Time.
I watch the Raymond re-runs at 10:30 on Fox every night, but never watched it while it was a "regularly scheduled program". Same way with Cheers, I never watched it the whole time it ran, but have seen every episode no telling how many times now that it is syndicated.

I used to watch the show, but I got tired of the same plot every show.
Ray does something stupid. Debra gets mad. Marie takes up for Ray. Robert gets mad that Marie likes Ray better.
90% of the shows follow this plot.

Right you are. and the reason they are giving for calling it quits is that they ran dry with ideas. even though that happened a long time ago in my opinion, i still liked the formula.
i lived for Frank's one liners.

Marie - "Don't you tell me to be quiet! I have a mind of my own you know! I can contribute! I'm not just some... trophy wife!"
Frank - "You're a trophy wife? What contest in hell did I win?"
