Which High Schools have strong Track and Field programs in your area?

Jasper is usually strong. Atlanta also has tons of speed.

If you've never been to the State Track Meet, you're DEFINITELY MISSING OUT! It's a ton of fun to watch and I've been almost every year since I was in the 7th grade.

Last year, I went by myself and ended up sitting next to the head track coach and parents from Crane. So I made some friends and started yelling for the Crane Lady Cranes to win in everything. It was really cool and they were nice folks.

monahans should take 2 relays, a 100m, and a 400m to state this year and possibly a 110 hurdler. maybe some more but they have every person back from a very strong track team last year

Palestine posters say they have the fastest guys in Texas. We will see if they show up this Spring.

Didn't Jasper have some pattern where they would win the state track and field every 7 years? I know we were supposed to win it in 2003 but we didn't...we last won in 1996 i think? i'm not sure...

No, Jasper had won 4a state in 85, 91, and 97 for every sixth year. Their other state win was in 1975. They practically had the sixth year sewn up again in 2003 but underperformed in the relays and lost to Atlanta by 3 points! So, the "every six years" is no longer alive. But, I think they could start a new pattern by winning this year! :)

I think District 4 is going to be a three way race for the district championship just like in football. all three Snyder sweetwater and Wylie are very good. Wylie has the numbers, Sweetwater has speed in relays, and Snyder has good field events and good relays. Wylie has good distance and Snyder does too. Clost three way competition.
Snyder has good speed in Dee Walker, D white Wells, Juarez, and Castillo , Returning discus thrower McNatt ( 4th last year at state ) Walker is a great triple jumper as well as being very fast.
