Just got word my cousin in Iraq was injured. His humvee was hit and he was thrown from it.

All we know at this point is that he is badly hurt with a severe back injury but they assure us he is alive. His name is John!

While you are at it, please pray for my Daddy. He found his mother 8 years ago, and hadn't seen her since he was 2. They reunited and he was planning on heading to California Saturday for a 2 weeks visit for her 90th birthday. She died this morning.

Let me assure first of all you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. In regards to your cousin, he is in the best hands he can be. Being part of a family who is retired and raised in Fort Hood (Home of 1st Cav) alot of my friends have not come back, while others were injured treated and headed back cause it was their duty. I know it is frustrating not knowing, with the army however they go proper channels to make sure something is not let out. Your cousin, has a long road ahead both physical and mentally probably. With family like you, I am sure he/she will get plenty of love and support. He is a hero in my eyes. Again you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
