The Odessa American is reporting that Scott Smith, head coach at Permian has landed a new job in Rockwall, east of Dallas.

thats just someone else for rockwall to blame for their losing. Elam didnt forget how to win when he got to rockwall. He led North Mesquite to many great seasons including being ranked number 1 in the nation at one time during the 96 season.

Im sure Smith hasnt forgotten how to lose either even though he didnt win a district game last year in Odesa and didn't take Permian to the playoffs either year there.

Smith is going from a district that included Odessa High, Midland High, Midland Lee, Abilene High and Abilene Cooper to a district with Mesquite, North Mesquite, Tyler Lee, Tyler John Tyler, Mesquite Horn and Longview.

And by the way....he's now at a Rockwall school that is about to lose a fair share to the new Rockwall school...Rockwall Heath.
