The city of Houston was sooooo proud to have the SuperBowl in town. All over the news you kept hearing "This will be great for the city of Houston. The city really needs this."
Well I guess the city also needed more debt cause that's what they've got. It turns out all that tax revenue won't even cover the costs of all the overtime and other expenses the city incurred to have the SuperBowl. So guess who'll pay for all of it?
If you guessed "taxpayers" then you made the right call. I sure am glad that I don't live in the city limits. But I'm sure I'll pay for it one way or another. Oh well.
